Join Illumio’s sales team to help organizations contain breaches and build cyber resilience across hybrid and cloud environments. You will partner with complex enterprises to connect technical solutions to measurable business outcomes, focusing on ransomware containment and Zero Trust segmentation.
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will nurture technical and executive relationships, deliver use-case-driven demos, and support deal progression through the sales cycle. The role requires balancing technical proficiency with strong storytelling and customer advocacy.
What you'll do
- Nurture technical and executive relationships to influence solution preference
- Present solutions via live demos, webinars, and trade shows
- Align sales activities with customer business outcomes and risk priorities
- Deliver powerful, use-case-driven demonstrations and customer stories
- Support deal progression and proofs of value through remote or in-person meetings
- Author thought leadership content such as blog posts and white papers
- Enable partners on deals to maximize mutual benefit
- Advocate for customer needs in future feature development
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of industry experience with 2+ years in pre-sales
- Experience handling enterprise accounts and complex sales cycles
- Knowledge of cloud migration, CSP services, containers, or Infrastructure as Code
- Awareness of SDLC and tooling for cloud native applications
- Experience administering Windows and Linux environments
- Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
- Ability to link customer business problems to technical solutions
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred
Nice to have
- Development or scripting experience with API knowledge
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Security Specialty
- Knowledge of risk-based security assessments and frameworks
