As a technical leader, you will design high-performance backend solutions, drive architectural strategy, and mentor fellow engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized healthcare access.
What you'll do
- Lead design of scalable backend solutions meeting product requirements
- Mentor engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
- Advocate for team technical needs within the broader organization
- Collaborate on product discovery to assess feasibility and define features
- Implement observability practices including logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives
- Analyze performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new engineering talent
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production code
- 3+ years designing and developing backend distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience with microservice architectures
- Proficiency hosting front ends and microservices on Kubernetes and AWS
- Experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred
- Strong background in CI/CD processes and automated testing
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects without management oversight
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare tech, wearables, or connected device data
- Familiarity with React, React Native, NextJS, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
- Experience building developer frameworks or internal tools
- Background in web performance optimization
