Join the Patient Services team at Rula to lead the technical strategy for re-engineering core backend data systems. You will design high-throughput, fault-tolerant infrastructure that serves as the single source of truth for patient data, directly impacting care quality during a period of hyper-scale growth.
What you'll do
- Architect high-throughput distributed platforms for patient data
- Lead technical strategy for re-engineering core backend systems
- Mentor engineers and establish operational rigor and design patterns
- Partner with product managers to shape engineering roadmap
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development velocity
What you'll need
- At least four years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building distributed and event-driven systems
- Proficiency in microservice development
- Ability to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in using AI-assisted coding tools and frameworks
- Experience mentoring others and reviewing architectures
Nice to have
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with on-call duties and operational improvements
- Background in early-stage or high-growth startup environments
- Prior work in high-reliability sectors like finance or healthcare
- Specific experience with Node.js and Kafka
