Join Higharc as an early member of a new team developing emerging technology for the construction industry. You will design algorithms for structural analysis and translate engineering principles into robust software products used by homebuilders daily.
What you'll do
- Design and implement algorithms for framing and structural analysis
- Build systems from early prototypes to shippable MVPs
- Use AI-assisted workflows while ensuring code correctness
- Translate structural engineering concepts into software logic
- Write robust tests for complex edge cases
- Mentor team members and shape technical direction
- Collaborate with product and customer success teams
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript is ideal
- Academic or professional background in structural/mechanical engineering
- Familiarity with computational geometry and mathematical modeling
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
- Ability to communicate tradeoffs and decisions clearly
- Comfort working in ambiguous, evolving environments
Nice to have
- Experience building CAD/CAM or structural analysis tooling
- Background in C# or Python with willingness to learn TypeScript
- Genuine interest in homebuilding or construction industry
