As a Sr. Systems Engineer for ProAV, you will serve as a technical expert for NETGEAR’s professional audio-video solutions. You will handle customer onboarding, deliver technical training, and provide advanced field engineering support across the North Central United States.
The position requires deep expertise in AV-over-IP networking and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with sales teams on solution design, represent the company at industry events, and develop internal tools to streamline deployments and diagnostics.
What you'll do
- Lead customer onboarding for ProAV switch implementations and integrations
- Deliver remote and on-site training on network design and configuration
- Provide advanced on-site troubleshooting for complex timing and multicast issues
- Support sales teams with technical scoping and solution architecture design
- Develop internal scripts and automation tools for log analysis and validation
- Represent NETGEAR at industry conferences and deliver technical workshops
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years in networking systems or AV-over-IP engineering
- Deep knowledge of multicast networking, IGMP, and switch profiles
- Hands-on experience with AVB, Dante, Q-SYS, and Crestron
- Strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals
- Field experience troubleshooting complex AV-over-IP systems
- Based in Ohio, Michigan, or the Chicago area
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Certifications such as CCNA, CWNA, AVIXA CTS, or Dante
- Previous experience as a Solutions Architect or Systems Engineer
