In this builder-focused position, you will create working automations and agents rather than just providing recommendations. You will partner with engineering and product leaders to identify workflow gaps and implement AI solutions that measurably improve speed and capability across the organization.
What you'll do
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on generative AI and agentic systems
- Diagnose team workflows to create a prioritized backlog of AI solutions
- Own the end-to-end AI enablement roadmap and report on impact
- Evaluate and pilot AI coding assistants based on evidence and team maturity
- Build and operate a network of automation agents for high-friction tasks
- Measure time saved and quality improvements for shipped automations
- Modernize rules-based systems into data-driven ML approaches
- Define adoption frameworks and guardrails for safe tool rollout
- Champion best practices through documentation and hands-on pairing
What you'll need
- 8+ years in software engineering with production system experience
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic systems
- Production-level experience with AI coding assistants and dev tools
- Working knowledge of applied ML fundamentals and model evaluation
- Ability to drive technical adoption without direct authority
- Strong product instincts for internal tooling and iterative shipping
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to leadership
- Prior experience in a staff or principal-level IC role
Nice to have
- Experience building internal AI enablement programs
- Background in healthcare or regulated industries
- Familiarity with vector search, RAG, and LLM observability
- Experience with conversational AI or virtual assistant products
