You will take ownership of AI-driven test automation systems across product portals. Instead of writing individual tests, you will build the infrastructure and feedback loops that allow AI agents to generate, execute, and maintain tests at scale.

The team is currently migrating from legacy tooling to Playwright. You will drive this migration to completion while optimizing CI pipelines and reducing defect risks in production.

What you'll do

  • Build AI-driven workflows where agents generate and iterate on Playwright tests
  • Refine page-object models and fixtures for efficient AI-assisted generation
  • Create feedback loops between local execution, CI results, and merge requests
  • Drive migration from Geb/Spock to Playwright while maintaining coverage
  • Optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines with parallelization and caching strategies
  • Instrument tests to track flakiness and prioritize high-value coverage areas
  • Build API-layer automation for scenarios where end-to-end tests are unsuitable
  • Refine prompts and context structures to improve AI test generation accuracy

What you'll need

  • 10+ years in test automation, SDET, or software engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor
  • Proficiency in Playwright or comparable modern end-to-end testing frameworks
  • Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Experience configuring GitLab CI/CD pipelines and merge request workflows
  • Solid understanding of REST API testing versus UI-level testing
  • Background in migrating legacy test automation to modern frameworks
  • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with Groovy, Spock, or Geb legacy frameworks
  • Knowledge of contract testing tools like Pact
  • Background in health insurance or regulated industries
  • Experience building internal developer tooling or productivity platforms
