You will design and build backend infrastructure that enables AI agents to handle complex insurance workflows safely and at scale. This includes creating real-time conversational systems, processing unstructured data, and ensuring compliance in regulated environments.
The team focuses on modernizing claims processing by replacing manual tasks with automated, intelligent solutions. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and data teams to deliver robust services used throughout the product ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Develop autonomous AI agents to inspect data and resolve conflicting accounts
- Build multi-modal text and voice agents that maintain context and handle interruptions
- Transform unstructured narratives into structured inputs for evaluation
- Design systems that balance AI reasoning with deterministic compliance controls
- Create pipelines to ingest and extract information from audio, documents, and images
- Detect fraud patterns and resolve identities across disconnected datasets
- Re-architect high-traffic systems via staged migrations and dual writes
- Build reusable shared services and APIs for internal and external teams
What you'll need
- 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- Experience with SaaS platforms or high-scale distributed systems
- Ability to design and scale complex backend systems through growth phases
- Strong judgment balancing rapid execution with long-term reliability
- Effective collaboration across engineering, product, and data teams
- Adaptability to new tools and technologies beyond specific frameworks
