Join Teleport as a product-focused systems engineer working on the core platform that secures identities for humans, machines, and AI agents. You will tackle high-impact problems related to scalability, networking, and security while contributing to an open-source codebase used by major enterprises.
This position requires deep expertise in Go and distributed systems, offering the autonomy to drive design decisions from initial customer feedback through to implementation and documentation.
What you'll do
- Master scalability, performance, and reliability for large deployments
- Design and ship high-quality products throughout the full lifecycle
- Write production code primarily in Go
- Collaborate with internal teams on performance and scaling strategies
- Diagnose and fix performance issues directly with customers
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers
What you'll need
- Extensive professional experience programming in Go
- Proven track record building scalable distributed systems
- Strong background in Linux systems engineering
- Experience leading teams and managing technical projects
- Knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models
- Willingness to complete a Go coding challenge during hiring
