You will design and maintain the core infrastructure supporting Assured’s self-service claim-filing and fraud detection systems. This position involves advancing AWS foundations, automating environments with Terraform, and ensuring high availability for large-scale data processing.
The team collaborates closely with engineering and product groups to improve observability and security. You will also mentor colleagues, guide architectural decisions, and build tools that streamline developer workflows across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and scale core infrastructure for existing and new product lines
- Automate environment management using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Advance AWS services including EKS, SQS, Aurora, and S3
- Collaborate with teams to enhance reliability and observability
- Implement security best practices to protect data and systems
- Build internal tools to reduce friction in developer workflows
- Mentor team members and guide architectural decisions
What you'll need
- Experience building end-to-end infrastructure from first principles
- Strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Proven ability to automate workflows and reduce operational toil
- Experience designing highly available databases, especially Aurora PostgreSQL
- Ability to identify and solve infrastructure challenges proactively
- Strong communication skills for documentation and mentorship
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving distributed environments
