Assured modernizes insurance claims processing with software solutions for large insurers. As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer specializing in databases, you will lead the design, automation, and optimization of the company's database infrastructure to ensure reliability and scale.
What you'll do
- Scale and optimize database infrastructure for performance and reliability
- Design monitoring, tuning, and scaling strategies for the SaaS platform
- Build automation and tooling to streamline database management
- Drive initiatives to enhance system health and uptime
- Expand into broader SRE responsibilities beyond the database layer
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Database Administration
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora at scale
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong background in highly available, scalable database design
- Proven ability to optimize performance and resolve complex issues
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or Terragrunt for infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with Prisma or other ORM frameworks
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to Redshift or other data warehouse technologies
