Join the industrial design team at Hims & Hers to craft physical products that deliver personalized healthcare solutions. As a Staff Industrial Designer, you will resolve complex design challenges, establish scalable frameworks, and guide projects from concept to production handoff.
This is a defined-term contract engagement lasting 12 months. You will work independently within a small design team, mentoring peers and ensuring high craft standards across multiple initiatives while balancing brand quality with manufacturability.
What you'll do
- Apply expert skills in sketching, CAD surfacing, CMF, and prototyping
- Scale design systems and frameworks to maintain consistency
- Resolve ambiguous design problems across multiple initiatives
- Own creative direction for major projects and programs
- Partner with engineering and supply chain from concept to production
- Mentor peers and elevate collaboration standards
- Integrate health compliance and safety requirements into designs
What you'll need
- 8+ years in industrial design with shipped hardware experience
- Portfolio showing expert craft from concept to manufactured product
- Experience contributing to scalable design systems or CMF standards
- Fluency in Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and KeyShot
- Knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, and soft goods manufacturing
- Ability to mentor peers without formal management responsibility
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced remote environment
