You will serve as the technical leader for Device Infrastructure Services, guiding the shift from legacy device management to DevOps practices. The role involves setting the technical roadmap, coaching engineers, and building scalable systems that support the entire company.
The team manages the lifecycle of hardware and operating systems for approximately 2,000 endpoints. You will drive the adoption of config-as-code, version control, and CI/CD pipelines while integrating responsible AI agents into IT operations.
What you'll do
- Define the technical direction for device infrastructure tooling and standards
- Drive adoption of a DevOps operating model including config-as-code and CI/CD
- Lead the integration of agentic AI with appropriate security guardrails
- Act as the final escalation point for high-severity endpoint incidents
- Partner with Security and Product teams to build custom internal solutions
- Assess new tooling and make build-versus-buy decisions for IT systems
- Pilot internal product features against the company device fleet
- Mentor engineers and coach the team through technical transformations
What you'll need
- Seven plus years of IT and enterprise endpoint management experience
- Two plus years at a senior or staff individual contributor level
- Proven track record of managing endpoints using GitOps practices
- Deep operating system-level knowledge across macOS and Windows
- Strong scripting and Infrastructure as Code skills in Bash, Python, and Terraform
- Experience defining technical roadmaps and balancing long-term vision
- Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate IT operations
- Knowledge of enterprise security fundamentals like encryption and EDR
Nice to have
- Experience with MDM platform migrations
- Background in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
- Ability to recognize patterns across a large device fleet
