Join Quilter's Placer Team to develop the systems supporting the full machine learning lifecycle for automated component placement on printed circuit boards. You will design and maintain infrastructure for training, serving, and data pipelines while guiding architectural decisions as the team scales.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain ML infrastructure for training, evaluation, and serving
- Own data pipelines including generation, cleaning, and versioning
- Build tooling for experiment tracking, orchestration, and reproducibility
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and A/B testing infrastructure
- Lead design review processes and guide sustainable system decisions
- Identify architectural risks and plan long-range system architecture
What you'll need
- 7+ years of industry experience building production ML systems
- Proven track record with end-to-end production-grade ML systems
- Deep knowledge of training pipelines and serving infrastructure
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems design skills
- Experience driving design reviews and improving engineering processes
- Comfortable working with high autonomy in ambiguous spaces
- Experience with GPU-accelerated workloads and orchestration
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ML workflows involving optimization or RL
- Experience building infrastructure for small, research-heavy teams
