Onebrief develops AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination. This role is designed to build the systems that allow the design team to ship at the same speed as engineering, focusing on platform creation rather than individual design output.
You will architect the agentic design system, automate intake and evaluation, and establish feedback loops from production data. The position also involves leading moonshot projects to explore future agentic customer experiences, crossing traditional boundaries between design and engineering.
What you'll do
- Architect and build the agentic design system platform with components and utilities
- Create automated systems for triaging design requests and checking standards
- Implement release QA automation to catch quality issues before shipping
- Build data telemetry to create feedback loops on design performance
- Lead moonshot projects exploring future agentic customer experiences
- Determine where human review gates are needed versus automation
- Work within Docker, EKS, and GitHub CI/CD pipelines to maintain systems
- Provide strategic input to the Head of Department on design roadmap
What you'll need
- Deep experience building and scaling agentic design systems and governance
- Experience with production infrastructure like automated pipelines and QA
- Familiarity with Docker, EKS on AWS, and GitHub CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to defend judgments on human gates versus automation effectiveness
- Track record leading ambiguous, cross-functional exploratory projects
- Comfortable being the first person in a role and building the playbook
Nice to have
- Active contribution to the design systems community via writing or open source
- Experience with knowledge graphs, vector stores, or semantic infrastructure
- Familiarity with eval frameworks for agentic outputs beyond basic checks
- Exposure to forefront agentic technology in private or defense sectors
