Join Valon's Product Infrastructure team to transform an in-house mortgage servicing platform into a flexible SaaS product. You will lead end-to-end design for foundational capabilities and reusable patterns, enabling other teams to ship faster with higher quality.
This position requires partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex problems and deliver user-centered solutions. You will drive product strategy through deep user research and mentor designers to raise the bar for craft and collaboration.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design for foundational platform capabilities and reusable patterns
- Enhance usability and accelerate development by evolving the design system
- Contribute to product strategy with a strong user-centered perspective
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to understand diverse user needs
- Partner with internal teams to identify shared requirements and reduce redundancy
- Mentor designers and cross-functional partners to improve product quality
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of product design experience, preferably in D2C fintech
- Portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals, systems thinking, and user focus
- Proven track record of shipping end-to-end product experiences from concept to launch
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to evolving product spaces
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Familiarity with LLM or Generative AI tools
- Experience designing workflows, internal tools, or B2B SaaS products
- Knowledge of user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions
