Join Fanvue as a Staff Software Engineer who combines product ownership with senior-level engineering skills. You will shape the technical direction of major product bets, build AI-native experiences for creators, and mentor engineers to elevate product thinking across the organization.
This position requires hands-on development of full-stack features while collaborating closely with product, design, and data teams. You will drive impact for millions of users by shipping solutions that scale, leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery and define team standards.
What you'll do
- Own product areas from discovery and scoping to launch and impact measurement
- Partner with product managers and designers to shape roadmaps and find value
- Build full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Design APIs and data models to support new product capabilities
- Ship AI-powered experiences including chat, content tools, and recommendations
- Make pragmatic architecture decisions that balance speed and long-term stability
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and pairing
- Engage with creators and review feedback to stay close to user needs
- Participate in incident response and ensure product reliability
What you'll need
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Proven track record of shipping user-facing products used by millions
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Solid experience with APIs, PostgreSQL, and AWS infrastructure
- Strong product sense and ability to advocate for user value
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning loose problems into solutions
- Experience building production features with LLM APIs and AI
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude Code
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
