You will own the strategy and execution for NetBox Labs' Observability features, guiding them from definition through general availability. Working closely with Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams, you will build tools that help operators understand network behavior.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of telemetry protocols with the ability to translate complex capabilities into clear business value. You will act as a subject matter expert, prototyping solutions and engaging directly with customers to validate ideas.
What you'll do
- Own observability product strategy and sequenced roadmap
- Drive products from definition through GA and iteration
- Act as subject matter expert on telemetry and data modeling
- Translate technical capabilities into business value for stakeholders
- Equip GTM teams with positioning, demos, and enablement materials
- Prototype solutions to validate ideas with engineering and customers
- Engage in discovery, pre-sales, and design partner programs
- Define success metrics to guide roadmap decisions
What you'll need
- 7-10+ years in B2B product management leadership
- 3+ years managing technically complex infrastructure products
- Experience in network observability, monitoring, or telemetry
- Fluency in SNMP, gNMI, NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and OpenTelemetry
- Ability to script against APIs and read code pull requests
- Strong track record of owning full product lifecycles
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure
Nice to have
- Experience with open source products and communities
- Familiarity with network automation or source-of-truth tooling
- Background shipping both on-premise and SaaS products
- Exposure to device discovery or inventory ingestion pipelines
