You will define the strategy for Constructor’s search and discovery systems, ensuring state-of-the-art performance across global retail verticals. This technical role requires partnering with ML and engineering teams to translate research into production wins that boost customer revenue.
Starting with the Search Quality team, you will expand your mandate to oversee recall, ranking, and personalization. Success is measured by measurable lifts in conversion and GMV, not just feature delivery.
What you'll do
- Drive measurable increases in search-attributed conversion, revenue per visit, and GMV.
- Define multi-quarter strategy for the Product Discovery Engine chapter.
- Translate latest ML and IR research into production capabilities.
- Unify recall, ranking, and personalization under shared quality metrics.
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure discovery quality and business impact.
- Lead investigation and systemic fixes for search quality issues.
- Partner with ML and data science to balance model accuracy, latency, and cost.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of product management experience in search, discovery, or ML products.
- Proven track record of improving business metrics at scale.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end search pipelines and query interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of retrieval, recall, and search evaluation frameworks.
- Ability to reason about tradeoffs between high-capacity and low-latency models.
- Experience aligning cross-functional teams behind shared goals.
- Comfortable setting direction in ambiguous environments.
