As the technical lead for the Foundations team, you will define the architecture for core services such as identity, single sign-on, and secrets management. This position involves driving technical execution and mentoring engineers while collaborating with product and management stakeholders to align technical plans with business priorities.
What you'll do
- Own the architecture of the Platform Authorization Service
- Set technical direction for identity, SSO, and secrets management
- Lead delivery of core services including login and tenancy
- Act as the primary technical decision maker for the team
- Mentor engineers through daily technical work and code reviews
- Define API contracts for internal platform consumers
- Drive core components to general availability launch
- Establish engineering standards for testing and documentation
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Technical ownership of platform or infrastructure areas
- 3+ years in B2B startup or high-growth organizations
- Direct experience with OAuth, SSO, or RBAC systems
- Backend programming proficiency in Python and Go
- Experience designing APIs for other engineering teams
- Strong fundamentals in Linux and distributed systems
- Proven ability to make decisions under ambiguity
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Background in network management or infrastructure software
- Active open-source contributions or project involvement
- Comfort using AI-enhanced development tooling
