As a Staff Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical design and execution for major products and systems. You will work hands-on to design scalable architectures, write code, and drive critical engineering initiatives from concept to production.
The role requires solving complex engineering problems while raising the quality bar through better system design, testing, and development practices. You will collaborate with a distributed international team to deliver reliable solutions for a high-scale user base.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives
- Improve engineering quality via testing, security, and observability
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale apps
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and prototyping
- Track record of leading major projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
