As a Staff Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major systems serving millions of users. You will design scalable architectures, write production code, and drive engineering quality while collaborating with teams across different time zones.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and initiatives
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives across teams
- Improve engineering quality through better testing and observability practices
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and prototyping
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
