Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution of major systems, designing scalable solutions while remaining deeply involved in coding and architecture decisions.
You will work with a distributed international team to build products used by millions across Southeast Asia. The position requires strong leadership skills to raise engineering standards and guide complex projects from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale apps
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading major engineering projects end-to-end
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
