Join vCluster Labs as a core architect of the vCluster Platform, defining the future of tenant isolation on Kubernetes. You will navigate complex Kubernetes internals to build high-performance tools used by leading engineering teams and AI cloud providers.
The team operates with a remote-first culture, distributed globally while headquartered in San Francisco. You will take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical design to release, contributing to open-source projects that power over 100,000 GPUs worldwide.
What you'll do
- Work intimately with Kubernetes internals to advance container orchestration
- Write resilient Go code for the core logic of the vCluster platform
- Manage feature development from technical design to release independently
- Contribute to open-source projects and define next-gen tenancy models
- Solve complex systems architecture challenges requiring deep understanding
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, networking, and storage
- Strong programming skills in Go with ability to write efficient code
- Active GitHub projects or open-source contributions demonstrating builder mindset
- Self-driven approach with high agency to solve problems autonomously
- Experience working in high-growth startup environments with ambiguity
Nice to have
- History of contributions to upstream Kubernetes projects or SIGs
- Experience at early-stage organizations functioning autonomously
