You will own the data layer behind the company's analytics product, designing the architecture and data model for a high-performance analytical store. The goal is to evolve the current system into a tiered platform that separates the system of record, low-latency serving, and batch/ML workloads.
This hands-on engineering role combines coding with architectural influence. You will ensure the serving layer remains fast and reliable while deciding where each workload resides based on measured latency, cost, and isolation.
What you'll do
- Identify and resolve database performance and scaling issues
- Own the schema and data model for analytical data
- Design a tiered analytics architecture spanning record, serving, and ML tiers
