You will own outcomes end-to-end by using agentic development to shape problems and execute multi-step engineering work. This position requires designing reliable AI workflows, retrieval architectures, and decision-support systems that meet strict healthcare compliance standards.
What you'll do
- Design production-grade AI agent systems with orchestration layers and infrastructure
- Architect retrieval, context, and memory systems to ground AI outputs
- Lead development of traceable AI decision-support systems for regulated environments
- Build distributed services, event-driven workers, and state management pipelines
- Guide frontend development using React and TypeScript for complex AI features
- Establish organization-wide patterns for AI quality, safety, and automated evaluations
- Mentor senior engineers and lead architecture reviews across teams
- Set technical direction for AI-enabled products and model integrations
What you'll need
- Ten or more years of software engineering experience with technical leadership
- Proven track record setting technical direction across multiple product areas
- Hands-on experience building and operating production AI applications
- Experience with agentic development using AI coding agents for specification and execution
- Deep expertise in Python backend/distributed systems or React/TypeScript engineering
- Knowledge of retrieval, embeddings, context, memory, and AI agent architectures
- Experience establishing standards for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance for AI systems
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
