Join Rula as a Staff Software Engineer to shape the Marketplace Health Engine, a core initiative improving provider utilization and patient access. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to design scalable systems that address complex marketplace challenges while mentoring other engineers.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver scalable systems for marketplace efficiency
- Drive technical strategy and influence decisions across teams
- Mentor engineers and lead initiatives without direct authority
- Partner with Product and Data to achieve business outcomes
- Manage projects from discovery through launch and support
What you'll need
- 8+ years building scalable distributed systems
- Experience designing backend services and APIs
- Proven ability to solve complex operational problems
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment
- Experience driving end-to-end project delivery
Nice to have
- Previous start-up experience
- Experience with SaaS on AWS
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Kafka
- Background in high-reliability products
- Comfortable with on-call rotations
