Join the Konnect team at Kong to design and implement the core architecture for Kong Identity. You will build a multi-tenant platform that supports complex organizational hierarchies, cross-tenant isolation, and advanced security controls for API management.
What you'll do
- Design advanced token management systems with real-time revocation
- Lead development of extensible claims engines for dynamic attributes
- Architect global identity infrastructure for sub-millisecond latency
- Build rate limiting and fraud prevention systems against attacks
- Create enterprise identity federation capabilities and protocol adapters
- Drive technical strategy for developer experience and SDKs
- Implement compliance frameworks including SOC 2 and GDPR
- Mentor engineering teams on zero-trust and service mesh patterns
What you'll need
- 7+ years building production identity platforms at scale
- Deep expertise in OAuth 2.0 extensions and OpenID Connect
- Experience architecting multi-tenant platforms with isolation
- Strong background in cryptographic protocols and key rotation
- Knowledge of global identity infrastructure and edge deployment
- Understanding of SAML federation, LDAP bridges, and SCIM
- Track record building developer-first platforms with SDKs
- Experience with identity security, threat modeling, and testing
- Background in compliance, audit trails, and data residency
- Expertise in high-performance system design and caching
