Join Omni as a Staff Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical expert during the sales cycle. You will partner with account executives to drive discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of concept for enterprise clients using their own data environments.
Beyond individual deals, you will shape best practices for the solutions engineering organization and provide field feedback to influence product roadmap decisions. This position requires deep expertise in the modern data stack and strong consultative communication skills.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery and demos for complex enterprise evaluations
- Build and execute proofs of concept using prospect data
- Mentor solutions engineers and define team best practices
- Influence product roadmap based on field observations
- Represent engineering in executive-level customer discussions
- Partner with post-sales teams to ensure smooth trial transitions
What you'll need
- 10+ years in pre-sales or solutions architecture roles
- Experience supporting enterprise customers in BI or analytics
- Deep knowledge of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery
- Familiarity with transformation tools such as dbt
- Strong SQL skills for analytical purposes
- Proven track record in mentoring technical teams
- Excellent communication with technical and executive audiences
- Prior experience at a high-growth startup
