Join Skydio’s Supplier Quality Engineering team to strengthen the supplier base for autonomous drones. You will interface with Product Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate electronics manufacturers. The goal is to meet increasing production volumes while maintaining high quality standards for sophisticated electromechanical systems.
What you'll do
- Conduct on-site audits of PCB and electronics suppliers to assess quality systems
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and supplier readiness
- Lead qualification activities including FAI, PVT, and manufacturing readiness reviews
- Manage supplier corrective actions and root cause analysis for quality issues
- Develop supplier scorecards and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Analyze quality data to mitigate risks in fabrication and assembly processes
- Collaborate with suppliers on inspection and process control methodologies
What you'll need
- Experience qualifying electronics manufacturing suppliers across multiple geographies
- Background in high-volume consumer electronics, aerospace, or robotics industries
- Deep knowledge of PCB fabrication, SMT processes, and electronic assembly
- Proficiency in interpreting schematics, Gerber files, and engineering documentation
- Expertise with quality tools like PFMEA, PPAP, 8D, and Statistical Process Control
- Familiarity with IPC standards and electronics industry quality requirements
- Strong leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams and partners
