You will build the systems that verify gameplay features work correctly at scale before they reach players. Instead of shipping player-facing features, you enable other engineers by creating test harnesses, chaos infrastructure, and build clusters. Your work ensures the studio can identify issues in minutes rather than days.

What you'll do

  • Build and own the functional test automation framework and coverage instrumentation
  • Create regression analysis tools to attribute issues to specific commits automatically
  • Design load testing systems that model realistic player behavior at launch scale
  • Implement chaos engineering capabilities including fault injection and latency simulation
  • Automate app quality testing for frame time, memory, and battery usage in CI
  • Manage on-prem build and GPU clusters with distributed compilation and caching
  • Define and track developer velocity metrics such as build time and flake rate
  • Mentor engineers on testing strategy and drive adoption of new tools across teams

What you'll need

  • Proficiency in Python, Golang, C/C++, Jenkins Groovy, and Linux shell scripting
  • Experience designing test frameworks and using load tooling like k6 or Locust
  • Strong skills in CPU/GPU/memory profiling and statistical analysis of benchmarks
  • Expertise in Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD, Make/CMake, and distributed build systems
  • Knowledge of Linux/macOS administration, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • Understanding of distributed systems failure modes, TCP/IP, and resilience patterns
  • Ability to set technical direction and influence teams without direct authority
  • Fluent English communication skills for distributed team collaboration

Nice to have

  • Experience operating mobile device farms and Android/iOS build toolchains
  • Knowledge of GPU cluster scheduling with Slurm or Kubernetes device plugins
  • Familiarity with game engine internals and deterministic simulation testing
  • Background in live service games or equivalent SaaS/PaaS environments
  • Skills in Windows administration, Ansible, TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin
  • Experience managing hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructure environments
