You will serve as the technical backbone of the internal IT organization, designing systems that scale operations rather than handling tier 1 support. Your work involves architecting endpoint management workflows, writing automation scripts, and managing identity infrastructure for a global team.
The team leverages an MSP partner for basic support, allowing you to focus on complex tier 2/3 escalations and building the automation layer that ties identity, devices, and SaaS tools together.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve identity infrastructure including Okta, Google Workspace, and SaaS integrations
- Architect automation for onboarding, offboarding, access controls, and license governance
- Manage macOS endpoint lifecycle via MDM, zero-touch provisioning, and remediation scripting
- Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code for identity, SaaS, and cloud resources
- Serve as escalation point for complex systems issues alongside MSP partners
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies such as AI-powered IT automation tools
- Create documentation and runbooks to reduce operational toil and increase durability
What you'll need
- 7+ years in IT systems, infrastructure, or identity engineering roles
- Deep expertise with Okta Workflows, integrations, policy design, and SCIM provisioning
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting with comfort using REST APIs and webhooks
- Hands-on experience using Terraform for infrastructure and configuration as code
- Strong macOS fleet management skills including MDM and zero-touch provisioning
- Deep understanding of SSO protocols like SAML, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM patterns
- Experience administering Google Workspace at scale
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals including DNS, HTTP, APIs, and VPNs
Nice to have
- Experience using AI or LLM tools for IT automation and agentic workflows
- Familiarity with GitOps or declarative approaches to device and identity management
- Cloud infrastructure experience with GCP or AWS
- Background in SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance
- Experience operating within an MSP-augmented IT model
