You will serve as the Release Train Engineer for the Ground Integrated Product Team, driving the integration, testing, and delivery of ground segment solutions. This role involves technical planning, system verification, and translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while managing schedule and cost constraints.
The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in satellite ground systems, networks, and enterprise software integration. You will lead Agile processes, perform functional analysis, and ensure logical conversion of requirements into total system solutions across concept, design, and operation phases.
What you'll do
- Support ground segment integration, test, and delivery as Release Train Engineer
- Perform technical planning, system integration, and verification analyses
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detail trade studies
- Ensure systematic conversion of requirements acknowledging technical constraints
- Apply AI prompting techniques relevant to systems engineering tasks
- Support occasional business travel up to twenty-five percent
What you'll need
- Experience with Requirements, CONOPS, ICD, or Architecture
- Detailed understanding of systems engineering processes
- Prior experience with satellite ground systems design and test
- Experience with Space payload and vehicle management for comms
- Proficiency in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
- Familiarity with Horizon and Compass enterprise Ground Product Line
- Agile experience in a Lead capacity such as RTE or Scrum Master
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Nice to have
- Experience supporting SRR, PDR, and CDR deliverables
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Software development skills in C++, Java, Python, or C#
- Experience with application containerization like Docker or Kubernetes
- Proficiency with SysML and Cameo modeling tools
- SAFe Agile Product Owner or Product Manager Certification
- Experience with MOSA and microservices architecture
