As BJAK scales its technology products across Southeast Asia, the company needs technical leaders to solve complex engineering challenges. The Technical Lead owns the execution and design of major systems, working directly with code while guiding architectural decisions.
You will collaborate with a distributed international team, turning ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions. The role focuses on raising engineering standards through robust system design, testing, and mentorship.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Drive architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
