As BJAK scales its technology products across Southeast Asia, the company needs technical leaders to solve complex engineering challenges. The Technical Lead owns the execution and design of major systems, working directly with code while guiding the engineering team.
You will translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and quality. This position requires strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a distributed, international environment.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, review peers, and debug production issues
- Make architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Convert ambiguous problems into clear technical execution plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Background operating across multiple markets or countries
