As a Technical Lead at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major products and systems. You will design architecture, write code, and guide engineering initiatives from concept to production while raising the overall engineering bar.
This position requires strong system design skills and the ability to translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions. You will work in a distributed environment, collaborating with colleagues across different time zones and countries.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Build alongside the team through coding, reviews, and debugging
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives
- Improve engineering quality via testing, security, and observability
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Proven track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong coding ability with a willingness to remain hands-on
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve production issues
