As a Technical Lead at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major products and systems. You will design scalable architectures, write code, and guide engineering initiatives from concept to production while raising the overall engineering bar.
This position requires strong leadership in solving complex problems and making architectural trade-offs. You will work closely with teams across different locations, ensuring high-quality system design, testing, and observability in a fast-moving international environment.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale apps
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design through to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex issues
Nice to have
- Experience scaling engineering teams or practices during growth
- Background operating across multiple products or countries
