Doit builds mobile-first financial tools used by millions in Southeast Asia, starting with insurance and expanding into spending, saving, and investing. As a Technical Lead, you will own the execution of major engineering initiatives, designing scalable systems while remaining deeply involved in coding and problem-solving.
You will collaborate with a distributed international team to raise engineering standards, make critical architecture decisions, and turn ambiguous product challenges into clear technical solutions. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to building high-quality, reliable software.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype, review peers, and debug production issues
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical execution plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading engineering projects from design to launch
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems
Nice to have
- Experience scaling engineering teams or practices during growth
- Background working across multiple products, markets, or countries
