KIRA is expanding its mobile-first insurance and financial services across Asia, leveraging AI to improve accessibility. As a Technical Lead, you will own the execution of major engineering initiatives, balancing system design with active code contribution.
You will collaborate with a diverse, international team to solve complex scaling challenges. The role requires turning ambiguous product needs into robust technical solutions while raising overall engineering quality.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, review peers, and debug production issues directly
- Make architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design for high-scale applications
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
