Doit builds mobile-first financial tools used by millions across Southeast Asia, starting with insurance and expanding into spending, saving, and investing. As a Technical Lead, you will own the technical execution for major systems while remaining deeply involved in coding and architecture.
You will drive engineering quality and solve complex scaling problems in a distributed environment. This position requires strong leadership skills combined with the ability to deliver production-ready code and mentor other engineers.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews alongside the team
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions
- Improve engineering quality through better testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical projects from design to production
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to write high-quality code and remain hands-on
- Track record of leading major engineering projects through to completion
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex production issues
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Experience scaling engineering teams or practices during significant growth
- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
