As Technical Lead, you will own the engineering strategy across backend, mobile, and desktop platforms. You will stay hands-on with code while guiding a small team of senior engineers to build reliable, scalable systems that integrate modern ML capabilities.
What you'll do
- Define application engineering strategy across backend, mobile, and desktop
- Design reliable systems for AI workflows including state and orchestration
- Build APIs and abstractions connecting AI systems to product experiences
- Lead and mentor a small team of senior engineers through code reviews
- Make trade-off decisions regarding latency, cost, security, and reliability
- Establish production foundations such as observability and monitoring
- Partner with ML leadership to ship robust product features
What you'll need
- Significant experience leading engineering for complex systems
- Strong hands-on background shipping backend systems to production
- Experience building AI-powered products or integrating LLM capabilities
- Ability to make technical decisions with incomplete information
- Deep expertise in backend or client platforms
- Strong bias toward ownership and learning from real-world usage
- High standards for code quality and engineering fundamentals
