As a Technical Lead at Solace, you will split your time between writing production code and mentoring engineers. You will own technical architecture for major initiatives, drive continuous deployment, and manage a team of two to six developers. The goal is to build robust systems that help patients navigate the complex U.S. healthcare system.
What you'll do
- Write production-ready code for user-facing features and APIs
- Own technical architecture and guide complex decision-making
- Directly manage engineers through reviews and career development
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and deployment
- Refactor systems to ensure resilience and robustness
- Collaborate with product and design to execute technical plans
- Participate in hiring and assess candidate technical skills
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in frontend and backend development
- Proven track record in leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong fundamentals in React, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Experience shipping high-impact products in startup environments
- Ability to balance hands-on coding with people management
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder alignment
- Comfort working with ambiguity and creating structure
