Join Solace as a Technical Lead to help patients navigate the complex US healthcare system. You will split your time between writing production code and managing a small team of engineers. This position requires balancing technical architecture decisions with mentorship and direct reports.
What you'll do
- Write production-ready code for user-facing features
- Own technical architecture for major initiatives
- Create services and APIs for web applications
- Refactor codebase to ensure system resilience
- Directly manage two to six engineers
- Mentor team members through code reviews and pairing
- Participate in hiring and technical interviews
- Collaborate with product and design partners
What you'll need
- Seven or more years of frontend and backend experience
- Proven track record in leading or mentoring engineers
- Strong fundamentals in React and TypeScript
- Experience with Node.js development
- Background in fast-paced startup environments
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder alignment skills
- Ability to balance hands-on coding with management
- Comfortable working with ambiguous problems
