As a Tech Lead Manager, you will lead a team of two to four engineers while remaining actively involved in coding and architecture. You will define technical direction, manage delivery, and mentor team members to ensure high-quality outcomes for both internal tools and customer-facing applications.
What you'll do
- Set technical direction and contribute to architecture decisions
- Write and deploy production-grade code regularly
- Directly manage a team of two to four engineers
- Drive planning, prioritization, and execution for your team
- Mentor engineers and support their career growth
- Partner with product and design to define requirements
- Recruit and interview candidates to grow the team
What you'll need
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience as a tech lead or engineering manager
- Track record of shipping full-stack web features
- Active use of AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor
- Ability to balance quick iterations with system reliability
- Strong written communication and self-direction skills
