Pylon is building a vertically integrated mortgage platform that transforms origination into a single API. As a Technical Oversight specialist, you will act as a senior operational partner to originating customers, ensuring loans move cleanly through the system. You will own issue resolution end-to-end and work with product teams to eliminate manual failures.
What you'll do
- Act as the primary operational contact for originating customers
- Own issue resolution from identification through final closure
- Guide customers through loan lifecycle requirements and timelines
- Proactively identify blockers to ensure files close on schedule
- Evaluate loan scenarios for structural or compliance risks
- Partner with underwriting and closing teams for clean handoffs
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define system requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and decisions
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in mortgage processing or underwriting
- Direct experience managing loans from application to closing
- Strong knowledge of TRID timing and tolerance categories
- Experience preparing, reviewing, or validating LEs and CDs
- Ability to independently check loan structure and LTV
- Prior experience serving as an escalation point for brokers
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
