You will own a product vertical from strategy to delivery, working on systems where money movement correctness is critical. The role requires shaping technical designs with engineering teams while treating licensing and compliance as core product constraints.
BJAK is an AI-native platform expanding financial services across the region. You will define where AI improves outcomes and where deterministic systems must remain in control, ensuring products are reliable and auditable.
What you'll do
- Own a vertical end-to-end, including roadmap, metrics, and backlog prioritization
- Collaborate with engineering on system boundaries, idempotency, and reconciliation
- Make trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience
- Treat regulatory constraints like KYC and data residency as primary product inputs
- Define AI decision boundaries and ensure human-in-the-loop protocols where needed
- Coordinate with Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance to clear launch gates
What you'll need
- Significant experience owning complex technical products end-to-end
- Strong system design skills including APIs, datastores, and failure modes
- Experience in regulated domains such as payments, banking, or insurance
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and evaluation frameworks
- Ability to read and challenge technical design documents effectively
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Background as an engineer or highly technical product manager
- Experience shipping zero-to-one AI-heavy consumer products
- Defined evaluation metrics for machine learning systems
- Prior experience in the Southeast Asia market
