BJAK is expanding its financial platform into AI-powered stockbroking, payments, and wealth management for Southeast Asia. As a Technical Product Manager, you will own a product vertical from strategy to launch, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance while integrating AI where it adds genuine value.
You will collaborate with engineering, compliance, and operations to build trusted financial products. The role requires strong technical judgment to manage complex systems involving ledgers, APIs, and third-party financial rails.
What you'll do
- Own product vertical strategy, roadmap, metrics, and delivery end-to-end
- Shape technical design for APIs, data flows, ledgering, and security
- Balance trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, and reliability
- Integrate regulatory requirements like KYC and transaction monitoring
- Apply AI with safeguards, human oversight, and clear evaluation metrics
- Manage external dependencies including regulatory approvals and partners
- Align engineering, design, compliance, and finance teams on decisions
What you'll need
- 5+ years of product management experience with complex technical products
- Strong foundation in system architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience collaborating with engineers on technical designs
- Background in payments, banking, trading, or regulated fintech domains
- Ability to make trade-offs under technical and regulatory constraints
- Experience building with LLMs or AI, including reliability assessment
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Engineering or highly technical product background
- Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
- Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM products
