You will embed within product teams to drive documentation strategy and execution for key areas of the Camunda platform. Working alongside engineers and product managers, you ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with the developer experience.
Beyond writing, you will maintain the technical infrastructure of the documentation site. This includes troubleshooting build pipelines, managing Docusaurus configurations, and resolving deployment issues to keep the publishing process reliable.
What you'll do
- Own documentation for specific product areas as an embedded writer
- Maintain documentation site infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Troubleshoot failing GitHub Actions workflows and build errors
- Collaborate with engineers to align docs with feature development
- Diagnose and fix broken links, redirects, and rendering issues
- Handle dependency upgrades for Docusaurus and Node environments
- Improve tooling and automation for the documentation publishing process
What you'll need
- 3+ years of technical writing experience with a strong portfolio
- Experience maintaining documentation site infrastructure and pipelines
- Proficiency with Docusaurus, Git, Markdown, and MDX
- Hands-on experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Ability to troubleshoot CI logs and resolve build failures
- Experience writing for both on-premise and SaaS environments
- Comfortable using command line and reading error traces
Nice to have
- Software engineering experience or programming proficiency
- Experience iterating on technical writing style guides
- Familiarity with Camunda 8 or similar orchestration products
