We are seeking a UI/UX Engineer to bridge the gap between design and engineering. You will take product problems from discovery through implementation, ensuring interfaces are visually polished, accessible, and performant.
You will collaborate with product leadership and engineers to create consistent user journeys. The role involves designing workflows, building responsive interfaces, and validating the final experience in production.
What you'll do
- Translate business goals into user journeys and interaction designs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready interface designs
- Build responsive interfaces and reusable components with modern code
- Maintain design systems and ensure component consistency
- Integrate interfaces with APIs alongside backend engineers
- Incorporate accessibility standards throughout the development process
- Review and validate AI-generated code for quality and security
- Document component behavior and usage guidelines
What you'll need
- Portfolio showing product design decisions and shipped experiences
- Proficiency with Figma or similar prototyping tools
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with React, Vue, or similar front-end frameworks
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability testing
- Experience with Git, version control, and code reviews
- Ability to communicate technical and design trade-offs clearly
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants in your workflow
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer-facing social or media products
- Background in mobile-first product experiences
- Collaboration experience with native iOS or Android teams
- Knowledge of front-end performance optimization
- Experience with product analytics and experimentation
