You will own the user experience for ActAI's core app across iOS, Android, and web platforms. The work focuses on designing intuitive flows for AI-assisted tasks, from initial intent to final completion, while managing complex states like loading, thinking, and error recovery.
The team aims to reduce hallucinations and build trust by making AI actions transparent and controllable. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to translate user needs into concrete design solutions that balance simplicity with system complexity.
What you'll do
- Own UX design for core app surfaces on iOS, Android, and web
- Design end-to-end flows for AI-assisted tasks and intent capture
- Create interfaces that show AI progress, decisions, and required confirmations
- Map and design UI states for loading, acting, stalling, and recovery
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and ML teams on requirements
- Conduct usability research to identify trust gaps and user uncertainty
- Produce wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs for engineering
- Contribute to the design system and shared UX patterns for AI surfaces
What you'll need
- Experience as a UX designer for consumer mobile or web apps
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user flow and prototyping skills
- Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping
- Ability to design for asynchronous and non-deterministic systems
- Understanding of user trust, control, and transparency in AI products
- Experience conducting user research and applying findings to design
- Comfort working in fast-moving teams with evolving product scope
- Judgment on usability, edge cases, and failure handling flows
